After all the thought, love, and care that’s gone into creating your bouquet – from planning and conditioning to the final perfect touches – your florals are delivered to you in their absolute best condition. So to help keep them looking stunning throughout your big day (and even for a few days after), we’ve put together a few simple tips to follow.
TIP ONE: Keep Your Bouquets Hydrated
We always deliver your bouquets in water – whether in a vase or a box – so please keep them in there for as long as possible before the ceremony. The more time they spend in water, the fresher and happier they’ll look in your photos!
We know it’s tempting to admire them (they are gorgeous), and that’s totally fine – just remember to pop them straight back into their vase afterwards. Trust us, your future self will be glad you did!

TIP TWO: Keep Them Cool and Out of Direct Sunlight
Flowers are delicate and don’t love heat. During delivery, we’ll always find the best shaded spot to leave them, but if they need to be moved later, choose a cool, shaded place. Direct sun or warm areas can cause them to wilt much faster.
TIP THREE: Handle With Care
This might sound obvious, but it’s so important: be gentle. Flowers can bruise or snap if shaken, dropped, or squeezed. When holding your bouquet, always use the ribbon-wrapped stems – that’s exactly what they’re for!
If you’re setting the bouquet down, do so carefully and avoid resting it directly on hard surfaces where petals could get crushed.

TIP FOUR: Assign a “Bouquet Keeper”
Designate a bridesmaid or your wedding coordinator to be in charge of your bouquet when you’re not holding it – especially during meals or dancing etc. They can make sure it’s placed safely back in water or out of the sun so it stays picture-perfect all day.
TIP FIVE: Use Vases at the Reception
Have a few vases ready at your reception venue so your bouquet has somewhere to go when you’re not carrying it. Whether displayed on the bar, a welcome table, or your sweetheart table, this keeps your bouquet hydrated and allows you to enjoy it as part of the décor.

After the Wedding: Keeping the Love Alive
Your wedding may be over, but your flowers can still bring joy for days to come. Here’s how to care for them post-celebration:
Keep Them in Water (Short-Term Care)
If you’re not planning to preserve your bouquet long-term, get it into fresh water as soon as you get home or to your next destination. Give the stems a trim at an angle, use a clean vase, and change the water daily. Keep the bouquet somewhere cool and shaded – just like you would for any special arrangement – and it should last a few more days for you to enjoy!

By following these simple steps, you’ll help your bouquet stay as beautiful as the moment it was handed to you – both on your wedding day and for the days that follow.
Until next time,
